There is more to Wedding Day Photography than an 85mm lens
Most wedding photographers might have just focused on the bride and the weeping woman with a lens that zooms in on their faces. That would have been an emotional picture, something I personally would like too. But sometimes, we need to step back and look at the "bigger picture". Suddenly, the dynamics of the image changes, with an additional layer thrown in, another variable. How do we interpret the expression on the young man's face? Does she share (presumably) his mother's sentiments? Is he acting tough by not revealing his inner thoughts? Aside from creating an emotional image, I also like making pictures that make us ask a lot of questions.
